What are ebooks?
Electronic books, or ebooks, are books read by using a computer or other electronic device. Some may be electronic versions of print books, while others are only available electronically. There is a lot of variety among ebooks. Some need to be read using the web browser on a computer or electronic device. Some can be read on an eReader, like a Kindle or Nook, or using an app on a tablet device or smart phone. Many are purchased from online bookstores, but many more are available for free online, either through a site like Project Gutenberg, or from your library.
VGCC provides access to over 150,000 ebooks. Access is available from any on-campus computer or by using your WebAdvisor login and password on any connected off-campus computer.
